Author’s Notes: Written to satisfy my need for Sabretooth/Wild Child slash fic, though really, this fic could be read as going either way. What you absolutely need to know, if you’re not familiar with the AoA universe: AoA is essentially the Mirror, Mirror version of the Marvel Universe where everything has gone to hell, AoA Sabretooth is a good guy (having had a change of heart) and AoA Wild Child is a feral psycho who doesn’t/seemingly can’t talk. Oh, and Sabretooth walks him around on a chain.

Continuity-wise, this story takes place in my own version of the GI Joe universe. It is loosely based on a mix of Devil's Due/Marvel continuity with some Sunbow/DIC tossed in for kicks and grins.

The Lutefest is an actual event held in the town (and which looks to be a pretty good time this year 'round, judging from the blurb about it in the on-line version of the town's newspaper.

Steadfast’s motivations are based in part on the LJ/Nexus RP AIM chat as well as a mix of her appearances in some of Devi’s fics -- specifically Bringing Down The Rain and The Value of a Mech. Any errors in character portrayal are, obviously, a case of me screwing up.

Author's Notes: Written for the Transficsation March Challenge which was to write the Transformers in a country that was anywhere but North America. I chose the Solomon Islands, since that is where Guadalcanal is located. The Guadalcanal American Memorial was built in 1992 and refurbished in 1998. There’s more information about it and the source of the two quotes used in the story in the end notes. There are other sources I used for information on the location of the memorial and the significance of the ridge; unfortunately, I didn’t keep records of those sites. Any errors are mine entirely.

So, here it is, a story from Bruticus's POV.
